Why "Draft The Stache" Is Lame

Alright, here's my problem with this ridiculous "Draft The Stache" campaign that we've all been hearing so much about: it's futile.

First of all, what's the goal of this? To convince the team to publicly acknowledge that they want Morrison? Great idea! That way we could lose all of the trade leverage that we might have; or possibly even prompt another team who wants Morrison to move up past Portland.

Secondly, why would the team allow its fans to decide whom it should select with a franchise-altering draft pick? I hate to break it to you folks, but none of us earn our living judging NBA talent, and "campaigns" such as this are foolish.

Thirdly, drafting a college player solely because of his facial hair is not only ludicrous, it's foolish. I find this campaign neither funny nor insightful, I don't understand the point of it, and I wish it would stop. It's making Blazer fans look slightly moronic.
